AN ODD TO A COMRADE.

Concern and sacrifice I call her.
Always being the mother hen.
Can throw her glass cup to save mine.
A soft heart that out large an ocean.

Her name describes her lovely.
Indeed lovely.
Will make a good companion surely.
Her partner I will call lucky.

Dust worships her steps.
With curved legs that perfects her.
Watching her walk is better than eating.
Happy to always count on her.

Will commend her to keep on.
With her angelic character.
Will gladly be her associate.
With no reserve in me.

THE AGONY OF PREGNANCY

Her abdomen is big, heavy and a burden.
It restricts her movement and freedom.
She needs much rest for the baby’s safety.
She anxiously wants to be delivered of her baby.

Her husband pays little or no attention to her state of condition.
He expects her to still perform some tedious house duties.
When she does these things or not, her husband is not satisfied.
He prefers his second wife who still looks attractive.

Her agony increased when her children turned against her.
But when the husband refused their mother food, her pain increases.
They were crying, saying their step-mother forced them to do so.
Saying their mother is too weak to come to their rescue.

When their mother goes to labour, she vowed to brutalise them.
All these are enough to take the pregnant woman to an early grave.
The could make her have a miscarriage.
The are psychologically; tortures that could make her run on the street.

The second wife is happy seeing the first in pain and agony.
Forgetting that she too is a woman who will be betrayed by her own self.
And her sorrow will come from within, when her husband takes a third wife.
And her secrets will be laid bare.

THE TREE AND THE SAW.

I am the tallest tree in this dark forest.
I have made it and am almost touching the sky.
I am happy with my fate by thinking of dying in peace.
I have short time left before I give up.

But I can see a saw heated on fire coming.
To take me off my roots.
To stop my existence.
To hinder my fruitful old age.

Why won’t it allow me to die in peace?
Why won’t it let me attain the climax?
Why does it want to end my life painfully?
Why should I die before my time?

It was the raven birth that betrayed me.
I gave him shelter against the hot sun.
I protected it against the rain.
I gave it a place to rest at night.

But the bird told the saw that I am too tall to exist.
That I give shelter to some species of bird.
And hence I don’t deserve to live.
But why such betrayal?

The saw has cut one of my branches.
It is coming again this time to my steam.
And a tractor is digging out my root.
So that my long effort of heroism is fruitless.

But is the raven bird not a fool?
When i die where will it get shelter?
Or can only he survive by himself?
But the same saw that is stopping my existence
Will one day slice the raven bird to pieces.

THE DOG AND THE GOAT.

Thou owned by the same man.
Physical comparison is impossible.
Sense of direction should not be mentioned.
Or all goes for the ears not the horn.

The attractive dog is loved by everyone.
His plate never goes empty.
Always shinning with beautiful bones.
Its friendliness and attractiveness draws many.

The goat will not shine at all this.
Why good things do go the other side.
It is stupid and silly hence drives many away.
Thou first to arrive the goat has lost its stand.

Not satisfied with its grass the goat wants bones.
Forcefully demanding it from the dogs admirers
Even without teeth to chew the bones.
But as the dog’s admirers I will not give in.
